I did my primary training in this airplane at KAPA. It's a good trainer — you feel the rudder, you feel the wind. Stalls are a nose drop, not a break. Lands easy once you respect the narrow gear. I started Avly around that time — maintenance software for GA and Part 145 shops — and most of my hangar time now is writing code for other mechanics. The airplane sits more than it should.
Selling because she deserves someone who will fly her every week. $35K reflects the fabric age honestly. I'd rather sell to someone who will actually use the airplane — a CFI building hours, a family buying their first — than to the highest bidder who'll park it.

“Bought N1261C in 2017 and flew her home without seeing her in person — probably dumb, worked out fine. First thing I did was pull the cowl and inspect the tube cluster at the tail post. T-hangar ever since: Wyoming 2017–2019, KBJC since 2019. Ground-run with CamGuard every month I'm not flying. I'm A&P/IA — every annual since 2017 has my signature.”
